
Nielsen Heuristics
When evaluating whether an interface “works,” UX designers shouldn’t rely on gut feeling alone. We need a set of principles that are simple enough to use quickly, yet powerful enough to uncover real usability issues. That’s where Nielsen’s Heuristics come in — 10 usability principles introduced by Jakob Nielsen in the 1990s, and still widely used as the foundation of UX evaluation today.
